Latest Wedding
Great couple - she was six months pregnant and he was nervous. Perfect little wedding at San Clemente State Beach. My wife was my back-up photographer, and I've gotta admit I was impressed with her shots. She may say that they were only good because the back-up photographer doesn't have the pressure to get the right shot at the right time, but I think she has a great eye for those candid moments.

Family Session at Three Arch Bay
Took some photos of a very nice family and their dogs at Three Arch Bay. It was a bit windy so we took cover near the arches and did most of our shooting there. I'd heard about Three Arch Bay since I was a kid, but I'd never been there. Beautiful.
Engagement Session
Here are a few shots from an engagement session with a couple who drove down from LA to do some studio and San Clemente beach shots. Great couple - very fun shoot.
Business Portraiture
I did a portrait sitting with a business executive a few weeks ago. Just getting around to posting a few examples.
Product Shoot
Did a product shoot for a San Clemente t-shirt and novelty company. The face has been cropped out to protect the innocent.
Halloween Christmas Card Shoot
A lovely family came in to the studio for a portrait session on Halloween. They wanted to get some good shots for their Christmas Card. Used a traditional white seamless backdrop. Came out pretty nice.
Artist Audry Winkler
Local San Clemente artist Audry Winkler hired me to photograph some of her paintings for her portfolio. I really like her work, and she's truly a nice person. More examples can be seen at this link.
Why I Like Color Film
The colors almost always come out right, especially skin tones. I shot these photos using my Mamiya RB67 Pro-S on Kodak Portra 400NC. The results are spot on color-wise. I could never get this close to reality with digital. There's always too much red/magenta in the skin tones. (Other than resizing, there has been no Photoshop manipulation of these photos.)

Pacific Seafood Grill – San Clemente
